The Cultivated Collector in New Canaan, CT has some amazing cars. This early Euro-spec F40 even has the sliding Lexan racing windows.

Even in a boring color, these are beautiful

It’s a Jag, and it’s gold, Sir!

7-Speed manual. It’s like someone learned about the Gulf Racing livery through a game of Telephone: sorta lost in translation

Love this Treal Green 6-Speed manual V12 Vantage

$60K for a clean Sierra RS Cosworth

And some random cars from Greenwich, including my first LP640 after 2 years of carspotting. Seriously, in the time it’s taken me to find this LP640, I’ve seen 3 Chiron’s, 5 Koenigsegg’s, 11 P1's, 16 Pagani’s, 20+ 918 Spyder’s, and 30+ LaFerrari’s, but somehow have never seen an LP640. So happy to finally find one.

The third manual Vantage of this weekend, and the 2nd of two 7-speed manuals

Such a handsome design. Surprisingly tame by modern Lambo standards

The tinted taillights are unfortunate, but otherwise it’s beautiful

New Canaan, CT

Finally a reason to use this song

Also what type of camera gear do you use? Pics look phenomenal.

Thanks! I use a Nikon D5500 with a 50mm 1.8 lens. It’s definitely on the lower end of DSLR’s (not even a full-frame), but the lens makes all the difference.

Btw, any idea how to make Kinja display at full quality? I know you can click on the photo for full resolution, but the initial photo is way more pixelated.

Hell, I use a D3300, the model positioned right below yours. You do a damn good job of making the entry level models look high end. I’m still running on a stock lens, so I need to get that fixed soon.

Are you uploading directly to Kinja or linking elsewhere first? I use other websites to host the image because it’s quicker to upload them in one place and link them to other places on my slow internet. Image quality varies.

I still can’t believe how fucking ridiculous the F40 looks with its lights on.

I’ve been uploading directly from Kinja (the little mountain/moon icon next to the paperclip). Or if I upload from my computer, I just copy/paste from the Mac Photos app.

A 50mm lens is definitely the best purchase you’ll make, especially since it can be used on more expensive full-frame cameras. Just set the camera to an F-stop of 1.8 (either with Manual mode or Aperture Priority mode) and you’ll get the nice background blur. It’ll take a while to get used to how stupidly zoomed-in it is; you have to stand 30+ feet away from a car to get it into frame (50+ feet if you intend to square crop it for Instagram like me), but it’s so worth it.

I hope you mean good ridiculous!

It’s definitely weird to see a car with both popups and regular lights (or whatever the F40's lower lights are).

The 35/1.8DX is also an inexpensive option that will cut out some of the zoom since it’s made for crop sensor cameras
